How to combine images into a PDF in the right order
Page photos can have different proportions and orientations. Before creating the PDF, organize their order and decide whether you need standard paper for printing or pages fitted to the images.
Steps and checks
- Select the images in Images to PDF and check that they all belong to the intended document.
- Adjust the file order. Check the photographed page numbers; names such as 1, 10, and 2 can suggest an incorrect sequence.
- Choose paper size, orientation, and margins from the available options. Consider Preserve original quality for your intended use.
- Open the PDF and check page order, edges, and the smallest text. Download the result before it expires.
White borders are not always an error
An image narrower than an A4 sheet needs free space to fit without distortion. If the result does not suit your purpose, review paper size, orientation, and margins. Do not stretch document photos just to hide borders: that changes their proportions.
A PDF made from photos is not automatically searchable
Putting photos into a PDF organizes the pages but does not recognize the words. If you need text search, run OCR on the resulting PDF. These are two operations, and each consumes one use from the allowance.
Print quality and file size
Preserving quality can produce a larger file. A blurred photo does not become sharp just because it is placed in a PDF. Check the final size before sending and start with readable images. Later compression requires another visual review.
Handling photographed documents
Check whether a photo includes objects, information, or pages that should not be sent. Use only files you are allowed to process and share. Uploads are processed on the User PDF server; conversion does not happen exclusively in the browser.
